We are pleased to be opening our gates once again. Although animal care staff has been working hard taking excellent care of the animals since closure, the zoo is not the same without YOU! We appreciate your patience as we adapt to the new COVID-19 guidelines for re-opening.
These new guidelines include:
- Only 40 guests will be allowed at the zoo at one time: as you plan your visit, please be aware that you may be asked to wait several minutes before entering the zoo;
- Guests over the age of 2 are strongly advised to wear face coverings for the safety of our animals: primates and cats have been found to be susceptible to COVID-19 transmission. By wearing face coverings, you are helping us keep them healthy;
- We encourage our guests to practice safe social distancing: we've painted foot prints throughout the zoo following social distancing protocols. This will make it easier for you and your family members to maintain 6ft distance for other groups;
- Certain areas of the Zoo will be closed until further notice: these areas include, but are not limited to: walk-through aviary; drinking fountains; quarters for conservation wishing well; turtle photo-op. We understand that the closure of these areas might impact your experience at the zoo and we appreciate your understanding.
Please remember that our staff is available to answer any questions you may have during your visit and continue to visit our website as well as our Facebook page for continued updates. Once again, we appreciate your patience and we look forward to welcoming you back to the Charles Paddock Zoo.
