Internship Program

Are you a college student interested in a career in zoology or animal care?
If you're looking to gain hands-on experience and learn what it takes to work with exotic animals, the Central Coast Zoo Internship Program is a perfect opportunity. You'll work alongside our experienced zookeepers and gain insight into all aspects of animal care and daily zoo operations.

We currently partner with Cal Poly San Luis Obispo’s Animal Science Department, and priority placement is given to students from that program. However, Cal Poly students from other departments, and students from other colleges, are also welcome and encouraged to apply.

Please note: A minimum commitment of one morning shift (4 hours) per week is required for participation in the internship.
