The Sulawesi Ground Dove, also known as Yellow-breasted Ground-dove, is a medium-sized bird measuring about a foot long. This bird is olive brown with a golden forehead, yellow breast, red legs, iridescence bluish-green crown ended with purple patch behind ear coverts. Both sexes have similar plumage, though female colors are slightly duller. These terrestrial doves used to be called Celebes. Their native Indonesian island changed its name to Sulawesi, so the bird’s name changed as well.
